National HIV Testing Day 2024

Each year, on June 27, National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) is observed. On this day, the health departments, and other organizations encourage people to get tested for HIV, know their status, and get linked to care and treatment. Its aim is to raise awareness about the importance of HIV testing and early diagnosis of HIV.

The theme for National HIV Testing Day 2020 is  “Knowing” which focuses on knowing’s one HIV status and recognizes new ways to take an HIV test. “Knowing” can also mean knowing about treatment options and understanding prevention options, including PrEP.
