World Elephant Day 2024

Every Year on August 12, World Elephant Day is observed to raise awareness of the urgent plight of African and Asian elephants and for preservation and protection of the world’s elephants. It was launched by Patricia Sims and the Elephant Reintroduction Foundation on August 12, 2012. Elephants are highly recognizable and have been featured in art, folklore, religion, literature, and popular culture, they are loved, respect, and worship by the people in many countries. Many organizations run different campaigns to bring people together to share knowledge and positive solutions for better care and management of captive and wild elephants.
